Rara Lake Trek

Rara Lake is the biggest lake in Nepal, situated at an altitude of 2,990 meters. The lake is within the Rara National Park and has unique floras and faunas. The area is also a settlement for many vulnerable species. Rara Lake Trek is a trek in the far western region of Nepal which leads you to a pristine lake. Rara Lake Trekking is quite different from the rest of Nepal in terms of cultures and views along the way and the spectacular views around the lake is unique for any trekker. Rara Lake Trek is a peaceful trek where you will hardly meet other people. Trekking to Rara Lake is also an opportunity to be in touch with nature and the wildlife.

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmadu, transfer to Hotel, cultural dinner at typical Nepali restaurant in the evening

Day 02: Visit Swyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square, preparation of the trek

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, transfer to Hotel

Day 04: Fly to Jumla

Day 05: Trek to Uthu Gaon

Day 06: Trek to Danphe Lagna

Day 07: Trek Lagna to Chautha

Day 08: Trek to Dhotu

Day 09: Trek to Rara Lake

Day 10: Explore day at Rara

Day 11: Trek to Gorusingha

Day 12: Trek to Sinja

Day 13: Trek to Jaljala Chaur

Day 14: Trek to Jumla

Day 15: Fly to Nepalgunj and fly to Kathmandu

Day 16: Leisure day or buffer day in Kathmandu

Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu
