Upper Mustang Trek leads you to the hidden semi-independent kingdom of Nepal attached to the Tibetan Border. This region is also known as Lo. Hundreds of years back, Lo belonged to Tibetan rulers, hence Upper Mustang area still widely practice Tibetan Buddhism. The area is also known as the Himalayan cold desert.
